“Seeing my mother, usually so quiet and anxious, suddenly light up—singing, smiling, and becoming her old self again—was nothing short of a miracle. In that moment, I had my real mum back. Having her come alive again was the most precious gift I could ever receive. Thank you.

At Lost Chord UK, we are dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being of people with dementia and other neurological conditions through the unique and transformative power of interactive music. We know from our work in communities and care settings that music has the extraordinary ability to connect, uplift, and inspire, even in the most challenging circumstances. Now, we’re inviting you to support our five amazing marathon runners and be a part of this incredible journey.

Lost Chord UK is proud to be an official charity partner of the London Landmarks Half Marathon, a 13.1-mile race through the heart of London. This partnership highlights our support for our five dedicated Lost Chord UK runners who are training tirelessly to help people with dementia and other neurological conditions. We invite everyone to follow their journey, cheer them on, and support or donate to the cause.

The London Landmarks Half Marathon is more than just a race—it's an exploration of the city's rich culture and hidden gems. Runners will experience a unique route that takes them past some of London’s most iconic landmarks, including Big Ben, St Paul’s Cathedral, Nelson’s Column, the Gherkin, the Shard, the Tower of London, and the London Eye. Starting at The Strand and finishing near Downing Street, this closed-road event is the only half marathon that runs through both the City of London and the City of Westminster.

Why This Means So Much

The impact of dementia on people and their families can be profound. Music, however, has a proven power to reach beyond the limitations of illness, sparking recognition, joy, and engagement. Our musicians are trained to create interactive experiences that stimulate the mind and heart, helping to reduce anxiety, improve mood, and turbocharge connection and communication. Every donation helps us extend our reach to more people in care homes and the wider community, ensuring that even more people can experience the uplifting benefits of our interactive music.

Through our interactive music sessions, our professional musicians and dedicated volunteers create meaningful moments of joy and connection for those who need it most. By supporting our runners in the London Landmarks Half Marathon, you will directly support our work for people with the onset of dementia and other challenges in the community, to those in care homes, and one-on-one sessions uplifting people in palliative care. Your donations and support for our amazing runners representing Lost Chord UK will make a difference in enriching countless lives, bringing smiles, connecting people with lost memories, and giving a sense of belonging to those who often feel isolated.

Your generosity means the world to us and the people we support. Each donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to fulfilling our mission. We are incredibly grateful for your support and belief in the power of music to improve lives.

We are incredibly grateful to each of our runners for their commitment and dedication, and to all our supporters who help us continue our mission. Join us in celebrating their hard work and the difference they’re making in the lives of people across the UK.

Join us today in uplifting people and making a meaningful impact. Donate now or sponsor our runners and help us continue our vital work in bringing music and joy to people who need it most.

Thank you for being a part of the Lost Chord UK community.
